Rajesh Moorti has recently been appointed the Chief Financial Officer for the Manipal Education & Medical Group (MEMG). He works closely with management teams at Manipal and Aarin Capital’s investee companies in establishing metrics, finance and compliance systems.
Rajesh joined MEMG as the Vice President in 2012. Since 2015, Rajesh has been focusing on new investments and divestments for the Group. He is also actively involved in the divestment of the services business and student housing business of Manipal Integrated Services (MIS).
Rajesh has played a key role in MEMG’s foray into health insurance business and oiled the wheels in establishing a joint venture with Cigna Health Insurance, a US-based global health services organization.
Rajesh previously served as the CFO of OnMobile Global Limited. He joined the company in 2006 as a key member of the senior management team that took the company public in 2008. He was responsible for finance, investor communications, legal, secretarial, procurement and administrative functions of the company. He also had a hand in scaling the organisation from a single country operation to over 35 countries, predominantly in developing markets.
Rajesh was also associated with Sara Lee Corporation in the UK as the CFO, Household Products. He has held the position of the Internal Audit Head for Global Household Products division Sara Lee Corporation, Netherlands. He has also worked with the Hindustan Unilever Limited and Godrej Group.
Rajesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost & Works Accountant. He holds a B.Com degree from Bangalore University.
